I noticed it with the DC question also. It happened Friday to Saturday when they were having the database problem. I emailed and reported it; I got the following response: Missing answer Mark Jeffrey Sat, Apr 4, 2009 at 2:03 PM We've had some dbase replication issues last night and this morning, this is likely the cause.
We've been working on it all morning, apologies for troubles. Max from our dev team will get back to you with an answer when he has had a moment to figure your specific issue out (he's still working on the larger issue at present). Again, sorry, and thanks for your patience!

I think entire questions have been disappearing. I hang out in the video games category. I just noticed that about 15 questions, days and months old, have just appeared when you sort by "Unanswered."
They definitely weren't there before. And no, they weren't just miscategorized because I regularly search through the main MA page, sorted by "Unanswered," and those questions weren't there. I'm guessing that these phantom questions have reappeared due to the fix recently implemented by the devs (see http://www.mahalo.com/answers/mahalo-answers-technical-issues/bug-when-i-look-at-the-main-answers-page-sometimes-i-see-my-question-and-sometimes-not-anyone-else-getting-this).
But apparently, not all the issues were corrected as they hoped.PS: In looking through the types of comments and answers you make, it seems unlikely that you would say something that would merit having your post deleted, let alone several posts. So cjd, I doubt that's what the problem is. PSS: I usually copy my entire answer before I hit submit.
That way if something happens, I won't have wasted 5 minutes of my life writing a response just to have it forever swallowed by the void.
Mahalo may vanish them because of this. However the most likely thing is because Mahalo has been having several problems the last couple of days. If you were on Mahalo Answers yesterday, you would have noticed Mahalo Answers had problems with their database.
Mahalo may have mistakenly deleted your answers and/or someone may have reported your answers and Mahalo is just checking it. Otherwise, a bug must be on Mahalo.
If you notice, I have a question about George Washington. This is the second time that I posted it because it disappeared the first time.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
