I wouldn't say EXACTLY but they are pretty close in my opinion. And if you compare their first five albums (well Lupe only has 5 but still). Both of their debut albums are perhaps their best albums their sophomore albums were great follow ups but not up to their debut album quality wise Their 3rd and 4th albums were both very disappointing And their 5th albums were great bounce backs So their consistency is definitely on the same level.
In terms of story telling, passion, lyricism, and flow, I'd say that Nas edges him out. When it comes to wordplay, rhyme schemes, vocabulary, complexity, etc. Lupe is better than Nas. But overall, I'd still say Nas is better.
If you put their first five albums together... (in my opinion) Illmatic > Stillmatic > It Was Written > Food & Liquor > The Cool > Tetsuo & Youth > I Am.... > Food & Liquor 2 > Nastradamus > Lasers BQ1: Definitely Tetsuo & Youth. Life is Good is pretty overrated in my opinion. It was a very good album for a rapper in their 40's but definitely not up to Illmatic or Lost Tapes standards and fans like to dicksuck the fvck out of it by often calling it a classic.
To me it's nothing more than a 8/10 while Lupe's newest album is at least a 9 and could be a classic in the future. BQ2: AZ. Big L is one of the most overrated rappers of all time, and at times his lyrics were pretty corny if you ask me.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
