C bit shifting odd results past 15 bit shifts leftwise?

It looks like you're shifting an unsigned char too far and as a result inducing overflow. Try casting it to a long before shifting, like so.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
