Call of duty modern warfare 3 vs Call of duty black ops?

Ok, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was an excellent game, but I think Call of Duty: Black Ops has the potential to top it.. The story of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was invigorating, interesting, and action-packed. The multiplayer was excellent except for the "care-package" glitch, the "prestige" hack, and all the modders and hackers. Looking back at Infinity Ward's past work (Call of Duty 1, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2) They've done a pretty good job, with the gameplay, graphics, and achievements.

The online gameplay is the main focus of both these games though. Online with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, was excellent, there was a wide variety of weapons, attachments, perks, scopes, and maps. My personal favorite map was Highrise.

They had shotguns, knives, handguns, sub-machine guns, assault rifles, and other types of guns, along with the many scopes. The maps had a wide variety that suited many different playing styles (Snipers, Run 'n' Gunners, and the occasional "camper"). That's all I have to say about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Now on the Black Ops. I'll admit Treyarch has made some stinkers in the past (Call of Duty 3), but I've read up on Call of Duty: Black Ops, and looking at details this is whats new so far: Factions: Studies and Observations Group 1st Cavalry Division North Vietnamese Army (NVA) Viet Cong Russian Forces Characters: Woods - Member of the SOG Hudson - Playable character, member of SOG Mason - Playable character, member of SOG Campaign Missions: "WMD" - This mission takes place in the year 1968. It is set in the Ural Mountains.

The mission features the SR-71 Blackbird and a new weapon, the Crossbow.5 "Payback" - This mission allows the player to control an actual helicopter. Citation needed "Victor Charlie" - This mission takes place in the Huong River in a crashed helicopter, where the player swims upriver with only a knife. Citation needed "Slaughter House" - This mission takes place in Hu?

, Vietnam in 1968 and is action-packed. Multiplayer Features: Vehicles will return, but they will be very different than those in Call of Duty: World at War.

To be really honest I don't think Black ops will top mw2 as it is brought to us by the same company that gave use cod WaW and in my opinion WaW was garbage. Except for the flame thrower :) but still modern warfare is better than the Vietnam etc.

DONT GIVE UP! My story: My first ps3 game was Call of Duty: World at War. I sincerely sucked at it.

But I loved it and tried everyday to get better. Then MW2 came out. I bought that and was about the average call of duty player then.

Not to good and not too bad. I bought black ops. I always found myself at the top of the score bored, I was like 4,00 ranked in the world for S&D (a game mode) .

I buy MW3. I played it for about 3 months. Reached max rank, and prestiged to the max. I soon figured out that once you master this game, it's no fun.

I found ways to win everytime , never loose, and it wasn't fun. My point. Though, is never give up.

I was a top player after only 2 years of COD. :).

Yeah, you're pretty bad, but since this is your first FPS, that's expected. It's a good thing you're not playing a tougher FPS like Battlefield or Halo. CoD is the easiest FPS out there.

It really doesn't take that long to get better since the learning curve is so small. Just remember, it's a game, so it doesn't matter if you're bad at MW3. Just keep playing, you'll get better soon.

I find MW2 better in pretty much every way. Off the top of my head: -Less glitchy graphics -Better sound effects -More satisfying physics/explosions -Better multiplayer map designs -You have to level up your profile when playing split-screen, it makes it rewarding -The co-op is fantastic fun, most people are like ZOMG ZOMBIES ARE TEH BEST - I disagree, zombies are an AI cop-out compared to the waves of infantry in the mw2 missions, you'd be as well shooting balloons. -Secondary weapons.

I nearly cried when I saw what black ops had done with the secondary weapon options. How come I can carry a rocket launcher and a sniper rifle, but not a shotgun and a sniper rifle? Stupid -Poor engine, if you want to see evidence of this, put them both on 4-player split screen.

Mw2 on 4 player split screen is still crisp until you have some insane air-support and explosions going on - when you put black ops on even just TWO-player split screen, the resolution/framerate drops considerably - this is just due to shabby efficiency. The instinct it seems is to adopt the "Black Ops is newer so it must be technically better" attitude. Not true.

Activision paid Infinity Ward to make the modern warfare games, which made the Call of Duty title a serious contender as one of the best games on the market. Then what they do, is bring out more Call of Duty titles, but make them themselves (saving money by keeping it in-house) then still the game sells like hotcakes because of the reputation the title has, where in fact - it's an inferior product.

Mw2 all the way just because it has way smoother gamplay and quick scoping you can't have a good cod game without quick scoping that's it.

Now this is coming from my opionion only Black ops is what call of duty mw2 should have been well from a pc perspective Server Listings Dedicated Servers A reliable punkbuster ( so far ) Bots To Practice with and you can invite freinds in now lets just get this straight I loved mw2 storyline and how it continued from cod4 but in my eyes its multiplayer was shtty and badly done it seems they tried to mix halos dual wilding with diehards action throw in some tactical gear a few attachments mix up a couple of maps and threw it all together In Blackops the story blends well with the time setting its set in alternate timeline of the cold war witch means vietnam , russa , and the cuban missle crisis and you play a former black ops operative now this translates well into the multiplayer aspect you have missle solos and bases as maps and you have nuke town ( Indiana Jones rip off no offence treyarch ) alot of varied maps you have all your weopons ofcourse there a bit bigger and clunkier due to it being the 60- 80's but that makes it even better the guns sounds have more grunt and you have a weopon customization system you can put stickers on guns so to speak All in all with the server options great singleplayer kick *** multiplayer and bots included ( if your a loner like me ) its really what mw2 should have been.

There are games who deserve better your attention than both of these run-out-of-the-mill games made only to make money for activision. Like Vanquish, Battlefield: Bad Company, Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption, Heavy Rain, Halo: Reach, Fable 3, God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Gears of War 2, Motorstorm. Pacific Rift, Resistance 2, man there is so many thing better than the sh*t that is Call of Duty, that never really innovated since Activision realized with World At War that they could just release the same games dumbed down and with nothing new and still make millions out of the gamers.

But if you are an ignorant teenager hell bent on buying one of these, I'd recommend Black Ops. They didn't f*cked up the campaign as much as with MW2 and the online mode isn't full of cheater glitches.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
