Apparently no one wants to cop to having an August birthday... ... I'll bite. My birthday is 9.990 and if I can do anything to make it not seem so bad, I will. So, I'll answer your question.

I don't much enjoy birthdays since I got into my 30s. That was a long time ago, since I"m 45 and I will be 46 on the 18th. (That makes my birth year 1961) God, I don't FEEL that old!

My littlest sister just turned 40 this year! Crazy. Anyway, my boyfriend is not exactly the "surprise you with something awesome or sweet" kind of guy, so we'll probably just go to dinner and drinks or something.

I have been with this man (albeit "on and off") for the last seven years, so I'm sure that will be about it. My family is in New Jersey and right over the Jersey border in Pennsylvania. I'll get the usual cards from them and my mom (bless her heart) will ignore me, once again, when I tell her that I definitely don't need anything and she'll send me a check.

I will already be back to work for the school year. The counselors start on 9.990. That's the biggest bummer of all.

When I was a kid, I would SO look forward to my birthday, but at the same time I would know that it meant the school year was right around the corner. So there you go, HW&M, all the information that you never wanted to know about my birthday and how I celebrate and feel about said day. Thanks for asking.

I always have to do the math and math isn't exactly my strong suit. I'm not old enough to grow up yet.

August 19 I think i’ll pass on the year :) i’m have been hinting for a weekend cruise for a birthday present - but that’s probably not going to happen ( coz my hubby dear doesn’t see the merit in the whole cruise thing... lol ) but lets see - one of these days he will give in! There’s always the backup of the dinner and a movie night :) .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
