I teach Head Start for $14 an hour, 2 yr ECE degree. The local public school pays better, but I do not have a teacher certification. I have been in the field for over 20 years.
The reason we get paid crap because many women used to run centers and charge very low daycare rates "" so a mother could go to work. "" I kid you not. I was so disgusted.
But when you start paying around $14 an hour in wages the cost of care starts to become unaffordable for parents. My suggestion? Do see what your state requires to teach school.
Sometimes you just need to take a certification exam since you already have a degree. Some states also allow Master degree applicants to also qualify for a teaching certificate. That way, you have more options.
Also do check out the college career guidance department. They should be able to help you find what jobs are available for someone with your degree. Thats what they are supposed to do for students.
I can't imagine them offering a Master degree for a $10 an hour job!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
