Can a dollar amount value from an Editor Grid Panel be used to add or subtract from another field in the form panel?

As Neil mentioned, you should create a model to handle this type of logic, and have as little logic as possible in the view. RRally there is no reason for logic to be in the view to begin with, this is the job of the controller.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
