Can a laptop connect dongle (wireless internet) be used on any routers to share internet access with PCs?

2 Not really. You can set up an ad hoc network between two PCs using only their WiFi cards. If one of them has Internet access via a wired connection to a router, you might be able to share the connection indirectly through Internet Connection sharing, but I don't know offhand how you would set that up.

You can use any WiFi router with a wired router by setting it up as a hub. It will act as an access point, but not a router. Just use one of the LAN ports instead of the WAN port for the upstream connection to the router, and turn off DHCP in the WiFi jig.

3 I'm thinking about getting wireless internet from my cell phone company. I like it because I can take it with me and have a connection anywhere. Originally the wifi card came in PCMCIA, but now it seems they've reverted to USB as PCMCIA is obsolete.

This is also nice because you are no longer constrained to your laptop. So, I can have internet on any pc in my house, but unfortunately cannot share it at this point. I want to be able to use my USB wifi dongle on a router to share the internet access.

I heard rumor of routers in the making which can support this. Anyone else heard of such a thing? .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
