Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection is caused by a strain of staph bacteria that's become resistant to the antibiotics commonly used to treat ordinary staph infections. MRSA is spread by contact. So you could get MRSA by touching another person who has it on the skin.
Or you could get it by touching objects that have the bacteria on them. Now you tell me, should that person be allowed to handle food? .
As it's usually a skin infection, I sure hope not.
