Can any netbook support the "enhanced zoom desktop" feature in ubuntu? How do you use the feature?
I use Ubuntu a bit, but haven't tried the zoom feature, so I can't help there. There is no hardware reason limiting the ability to zoom, though. I run Mac OS X on the MSI Wind netbook, and the zoom feature works without a problem - hold down two keys and + or - to zoom in or out.
The forums for particular netbooks manufacturers would probably have an answer for this, like eeeuser.com for Asus or msiwind.net for the Wind.

I'm visually impaired and would need the ability to zoom like on a mac, in order for a netbook to be usable by me. The windows magnifier could be labeled "might as well not exist ware.". I know the "enhanced desktop zoom" feature in ubuntu requires decent graphics hardware.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
