Can Big Payer simply state that they are now both a Clearinghouse and Payer and "get around" the requirements that way?

It is my perception that there are several payers out there who plan to continue to accept HCFA1500's flat files, NSF, and UB files. These payers state that they will re-format the claims for the providers to a HIPAA compliant standard. Obviously, unless the HIPAA-police investigated, no one would be the wiser as to whether the payer actually reformatted the claims or not.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
