Can I enroll in Cosmetology school while attend community college?

A dog groomer makes anywhere from $19,000 (not good) to $35,000 (decent) a year. A cosmetologist makes anywhere from $17,000 (bad) to $31,000 (okay) a year. The thing with these jobs is that it's mostly commission, so it's impossible to know how much money you'll be bringing in.

On one hand, that's good because you can control your own pay, BUT you can make bank one month and not have enough to pay the bills the next month. The income isn't steady or predictable, but there is the possibility that you can make decent money doing that. The guy that does my hair (obviously, he's a cosmetologist) makes a whole lot of money, lives in an amazing house, and parties out of town every weekend.

He owns his own high-end salon and is in his mid-40's. He also did interior design on the side for awhile. Simply put, he's loaded.

On the other hand, I work with a girl who did hair for two years but wasn't making enough money to support her family, so she had to quit that and work as a bank teller. So, it all depends on how skilled you are, who you know, how hard you work, and how lucky you get. As for community college and then transferring to a university, that would provide more stability in your future career.

However, you didn't mention any major you'd be interested in. If you can't think of any major that would result in a career you think you'd like, then I'd go for cosmetology or breeding school. Life is too short to not like your job.

Regardless of whether or not you go to school for cosmetology or dog grooming, please forgo those private overpriced for-profit beauty/tech schools and instead consider the ** more AFFORDABLE county vo-tech school or community college ** as long as the program is accredited within the industry. With cosmetology, it might take the graduate a couple of years to 'get a book' (of regular customers before Possibly making decent money. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
