Can I leave food cooking in my slow-cooker for longer than the recipe states?

If they are pre cooked and you are tripling all ingredients the cook time should not be that much different. You really are not cooking them just heating them through. If they area not already cooked I would cook them in advance, do it in the oven, then just place in the sauce and keep warm.

I would stir them once in a while to keep the ones that are on top submerged in the sauce.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
