Period right now is supposed to happen at my wedding! Just starting bc a couple months before so skipping a period would be too soon. Can I start taking my pills this Fri instead of Sunday?
It might make all the difference, but my doctor did say to start my pills on Sundays-- and I cant reach him now! Asked by alwaysblve 30 months ago Similar questions: start birth control pills earlier Sunday date Saturday Health.

You can choose whatever start day you want as long as you are consistent. Most pills start at least the 3rd or 4th day after your cycle starts. The Sunday start was just to make it easier to remember.
You may have spotting this first month on the pill as your body adjusts. You should use a back up method of contraception the first cycle. And anytime you have any spotting no matter how slight you have to assume the pill may have failed you and use condoms until after the next cycle.
Some women after they have been on the pill a few cycles may take the pill continuously which means you finish one pack and do not have an off week but immediately start the next pack. Women do that to avoid having a period during their vacation or wedding. It does not always work.
Sometimes your body is just determined to have a cycle whether you want one or not. But you need to have been on the pill a couple months before trying this to be sure you will not have undesireable side effects on this particular pill. Many pill are taken continuously now so that you take three consecutive packs but do not have a period off week until you finish the third pack of pills. So you do have some options and hopefully can get everything settled before your wedding.
You were smart to get on the pill a few months early, some women wait and only give themselves a month...not enough time to get used to the pill and be sure it is the best recipe for your body. Take the pill the same time of day each day give or take one hour. You many experience some nausea this first pack but that will not last, some take the pill at bedtime and avoid the nausea that way.
Good luck on your up and coming nuptials. Send me a PM if you have any questions. Sources: personal knowledge,my job .
Yes you can I asked my Dr. the same thing, I only get mine 4days and I hate those being Friday sat sun mon, so I asked her if I could switch my Sunday to sat, or Friday so that it’d back those days up a few.. and she said yes you can, just stick with it, don’t toggles each month back and forth. I’ve been taking them Friday nights now for 2 years and haven’t had a problem! Just be consistent!
That is also why most pills have stickers to attach over the dates in case you don’t start on sun! I think sun is just a universal start so we don’t get confused! .
Sunday, schmunday There is nothing sacred about Sunday, pillwise. You can try to rush the cycle a day or two. The stress of an upcoming wedding is likely to mess up your cycle anyway.
Good luck.
2 I don't know if it would make a difference. I take thyroid medicine and if I lowered that...I got my period early and it I raised it it would come later. Your stress level may make your period come when you don't want it to even if birthcontrol pills are involved perhaps.
I did not take birthcontrol pills. I got pregnant 6 months after I was married. Best wishes.

3 Maybe he was trying to get the pills synchronized with your regular cycle. I take bioidentical hormones and it messed up my body to take these at the same time as I still had my period.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
