I have an existing cellular service plan but my phone is broken and they will not supply a new one at a reasonable price. Could I buy a prepaid cell phone say from WalMart and just insert my SIM card? I'm pretty sure you can so long as your cellular service provider is on a GSM network SIM cards are for GSM networks and t-mobile (just saw the topic) is on a GSM network so I think you should be able to buy a prepaid GSM enabled cell phone and just swap the SIM card.
