Nutmeg can get you high, but ICK! It is not much fun. It lasts more than 24 hours, and you just feel sort of out of it.

If your just adding nutmeg to a beverage like eggnog, for a little flavor, then you probably won't get high off nutmeg. But if you were to eat about 15-20 grams (about 2 or 3 whole nuts). You will begin to feel a high similar to marijuana.
If you were to consume 30-40 grams of nutmeg, the nutmeg high gets stronger, with an increased chance of an upset stomach (I've found that eating helps ease the ache, which works well because nutmeg often gives you the munchies). If you consume 50+ grams of nutmeg, it is assumed that you will begin to hallucinate. This statement is based off the known information we have on the chemical myristicin, found in nutmeg, and based on personal experience 30-40 grams gives me the effects I'm looking for, and have never taken more then 40 grams.
But be careful and start small (2 or 3 whole nutmeg nuts), I started with 3 whole nuts that I ground up, and added to pudding. The combined weight of the nuts were 17 grams. But the amount you should take varies on your body size.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
