Can severe multiple sclerosis (MS) lead to a divorce?

The most patience and understanding is needed when a person with multiple sclerosis (MS) becomes disabled. This is a real test of love. If the marriage has not been a strong one or a variety of problems is eating away at it, the disability can become an excuse for ending it.

Look at the marriage problems you had before the MS diagnosis and deal with them. Don't expect your partner to feel guilty enough about your MS to correct whatever was wrong. That can only work as a short-term remedy.

Although at this point it is undocumented, there does seem to be a high divorce rate in MS marriages. This fact may hide the many other woes that beset a marriage. Some believe that more men than women leave a spouse with MS.

This is probably true and may be due to the fact that women are traditionally more comfortable in the role of nurturer. But if true love is there, MS, with or without disability, can be conquered by the husband and wife working together. It is encouraging to see how many good marital relationships there are and how many spouses continue to care for the loved one through all adversities.

It is also possible that health care professionals talk more to couples in trouble. Happy couples keep more to themselves.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
