" Yes! They sure do! There's even an online advertising term that defines this relationship called "Click Through Ratio" (CTR).
Basically, you add up the total number of page views over a set period of time and divide that by the number of ad clicks that have occurred over that same period of time. This gives you a percentage of people that are clicking! Using this number, you can predict how many people will click on the ads (and how much money you will make) in the future.
If a site really wants to get fancy, they'll continually track the CTR and record highs, lows, patterns and demographics. Someone please explain" Mahalo users like you and I aren't allowed to see the real statistics.
Mahalo 2.0 is still pretty young and since the developers have been so busy, they haven't spent much time on proper statistics. The stats are inaccurate. They're delayed and a bit off the mark.
Mahalo knows about this and they're working on a solution. Both the CEO and CTO have mentioned this so I'm hopeful! Until we have real page statistics, regular users don't know how to properly optimize a page to receive more revenue.
We can make some educated guesses by copying-and-pasting our public stats into excel, maintaining some history and doing some calculations. By making topic pages as complete and comprehensive as you can and updating that information as often as possible, search engines like Google will eventually rank your pages higher and people will find them more useful.
You earn adsense money whenever visitors click on an ad on your page. Sometimes pages with a lot of page views don't receive much ad revenue and sometimes pages with only a few page views receive more than expected. In general, the more visitors your page receives, the more likely it is that someone will click on an ad.
The last I heard is that adsense amounts were up to date but page views were not. This is why you may see something like 0 page views yet money earned. Ad placement and how well your page ranks in google are also important.
Hope that helps!
For a while, the pages count was not working, that's why a lot of pages showed earnings, but no views. You get money when someone clicks on an ad on your page. From what I understand some ads are more valuable than others, so it depends on what kind of ads show up on your page.
Impressions in google does not matter in earning , google is almost all CPC ( Cost Per Click ).
They can explain it a lot better. But tithing is 10% of your income and that's gross income. We in US have the opportunity thanks to the IRS to deduct our donations, tithes and offerings off of our taxes.
