No! In fact the IRS has a set amount that they can actually take from your wages that depends on your income and your filing status. The way it works is that if you get paid once a week and you have 5 exemptions then $512.50 is exempt from being taken from your wages.
Also here is a link to the IRS PDF regarding this situation. Good Luck!
No, the IRS cannot garnish your whole paycheck. I have included a link to the table for this. This table shows how much of your paycheck you will receive based on your filing status and the number of exemptions claimed.
For instance, if you are single, paid biweekly and claim 2 exemptions you will get to keep $500 from every paycheck. You need to contact the IRS on Monday and let them know what happened. As long as you keep in touch with them you should be okay.
The IRS will work with you to get it resolved and get you back on track. Hope this helps. This advice was prepared based on our understanding of the tax law in effect at the time it was written as it applies to the facts that you provided.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
