Will IRS take my SS if I owe back taxes? I'm already in a I dont' make enough money to pay status with them?

I'm already in a I dont' make enough money to pay status with them. I will take early retirement at 62 and SS will be my only income at about $1200 a month. I will moving from CA to AR where family is because $1200 won't even begin to allow me live in CA but "might" be enough in Arkansas.

There are tax lawyers who can negotiate a reduced settlement for you and possibly get the penalties dismissed. The IRS wants money NOW, they don't want to wait. And believe it or not, if you can pay them something now, they might take it!

And I agree, you won't be able to make it in California for $1200 a month unless you lived on the beach, or something.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
