I think Ubaldo Jimenez can win the Cy Young Award if he pitches better than anyone else in the league this year. If he stats warrant him earning the honor, he can and should receive it. He's been quite impressive so far, no doubt about it, but it is still just early May.
Roy Halladay and Tim Lincecum have been proven to be great pitchers pretty much year in and year out. If they dominate like they usually do, it will tough to give the award to anyone but either of them unless Jimenez has noticably better statistics. If it's close, he probably won't get it and it will go to the more proven, bigger named pitcher.
But like I said, if he is CLEARLY better this year, I think the voters will recognize that and give him the award the he will have deserved. I am interested to see who else is thinking along the same lines as me.
.I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
