It would be better to buy it frozen Custards don't freeze well. They tend to seep, because the freezing breaks up the delicate custard structure. They can design a special custard that is meant to be frozen, and use industrial super-fast freezers that limit the damage.

It would be very hard for you to mimic that effect at home. You'd be better off buying a pie that's already frozen, or waiting until closer the holidays and buying your pie fresh then..

Not sure, I never had one last long enough to try :-) Most commercial freezing is done using a high speed freezer, freezing too slowly, as in your home freezer can form too many large ice crystals, that mess up the texture of the product. I would just suggest buying the pie a day before you need it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
