Well, yes, there are some plug ins that will make monetization easier. Affiliate Ninja is one. It is a premium plugin though (costs money).

Your theme can make a big difference. Some themes make monetization easier. I like Socrates and even wrote a hub about it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
