Blogger or Typepad - Which is better or offers more? Which is found more by search engines? I am looking for a blog I can monetize, which is why I think Typepad or Blogger may be a better choice?

There's a myth that you should use Blogger because it belongs to Google and therefore it gets preference, but it is a myth. Google knows there are a LOT of rubbish blogs on Blogger, so it applies the same criteria to Blogger blogs as everywhere else. If you're serious about monetizing a blog, I would go the whole hog, buy a domain name and some cheap hosting and use Wordpress.

In my experience blogger really does seem to have the edge over wordpress. Marisa is right that this should not be the case, but all other things being equal, I have seen it happen. I haven't tried typepad.

One factor to take into account: typepad is harder to get out of. You can easily export your blogger content to start a self hosted (wordpress) blog, not so easy with typepad. Ultimately I do agree with Marisa that having your own self hosted blog is a good idea, but if you haven't found yourself a niche yet, go with blogger: it's a good place to get your feet wet.

A self-hosted Wordperss blog is the way to go. Get a domain name and some hosting. If you get a medium priced hosting plan, you can host more than one blog.

One blog won't cut it for a niche, you need to have several blog about one niche and then you can dominate the market as well as the search engines as long as your blogs do not have duplicate content on them. In the past, I have used Blogger or the free wordpress. Com to drive traffic to my main blog.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
