I don't know where to start... It is very unlikely indeed that you could buy any stringed instrument and find that it was already in tune. Even if you bought it in a shop and they tuned it for you it would be out of tune again by the time you got home. This has nothing to do with the strings fitted, it is a trait of stringed instruments.
You will need to re-tune frequently. Ukuleles use nylon strings which last a reasonable length of time so there should be no need to change strings on a new instrument unless there was obviously something wrong with them. Soprano ukulele tuning is, as you say, G C E A.
There are other tunings sometimes used but I have never come across E F# D A and don't understand how you were able to buy such strings. Certainly, it should say on the packet that they are not meant for standard tuning. If you have not fitted the strings yet, contact the vendor and see if you can return them.
If you have them on your ukulele, you can't play with them tuned to E F# D A as this is wrong and all the chords etc. you play will be out of tune. I guess you could try to raise the pitch of the lower three strings but there is a way to go from F# to C and the string might snap. You have nothing to loose though.
You don't say where you got the strings from but I would try elsewhere in future, going into an actual shop is best so that you can check the packet before you leave.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
