First of all, the schools you are applying to don't approach Ivy League or top schools. They are decent schools, but nowhere close to Ivies or similar prestige schools. At this point, you have a reasonably decent GPA, but not very rigorous courses (you say you had 3 honors/AP classes, but if that were the case, there would be a difference between your weighted and unweighted GPAs).
Your SAT scores are, frankly, not very good. And your extracurriculars are okay, but don't appear to be outstanding, from what you tell us. I worked at one of the easier of the schools you mention to get into, and you wouldn't have gotten in there.
I'm sorry, but Ivies and top schools just don't seem to be where you are heading right now. I'm not saying that you might not be able to get in there for grad school, but the profile for even the minor Ivies is far beyond what you have presented. Frankly, and I say this to be helpful, not to be rude, I think you need some back-up schools.
Your GPA, SAT scores, and number of advanced classes are too low for a top school. You have a decent shot at many of the schools on your list, but not the ivies. Sorry.
If you want a shot at those, you're going to need something fantastic on your resume, and at the moment you don't stand out.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
