Can I still get into an Ivy League with these grades?

Don't listen to Trevor. You are a year BEHIND. And yes, it will reduce your chances.

Where I live, in california, even the WORST and most poor schools put their kids in algebra 1 in 8th grade (at the latest). For whatever reason you are in algebra 1 right now, you are way behind. My middle schools magnet program only had 1 algebra 1 teacher and no geometry teachers for 8th grade, so I was at a huge disadvantage.

I was not put into the algebra 1 class because it was more than full. So then comes high school and im a freshman in algebra 1. It was sad.

EVERYONE in there but me had previously taken algebra and they had all literally FAILED it. And I was in that class. Most kids didn't even pass that year either.

Thats the saddest thing in the world. Anyways, my school doesn't let you double up or take summer school classes there so what I did was take a math class each summer at a community college to catch up (notice I said catch up, not get ahead). Now next year I will be a senior in calc 3 at the local university!

:D I will finally be caught up! :b.

There a year ahead. Your in the right math class.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
