No bars leak is going to fix a leak that large if the bottom seam is coming apart it will get worse each time it heats up and cools down. At least with a top seam you can leave the cap loose and drive it for awhile that way but honestly the rest of your radiator is going to take a crap soon too anyway. Start looking on line there are some good radiator shops or ask friends and family you can order a 3 core radiator for under 200 dollars the new thing now is all alluminum radiators.
They cool far better and are more high performance the the old ones that were two different types of metal which helped promote electrolysis which is what has happened to yours now it eats the solder between and it rots out and a leak happens. Bars leak is good stuff but not that good and the only way you can mess up a cooling system with it is if the cooling system was messed up to begin with. A lot of people try to repair old plugged up crap and when bars leak makes it even worse they blame the bars leak.
Buy a good anti freeze and use distilled or purified water from the store. And make sure the antifreeze you buy has a water pump lube and about once a year or so throw in another can of water pump lube it will help save the bearing on your water pump. Studies have been done and radiators will last ten times or more longer without using tap water.
Lots of tap water has many heavy metals and chemicals in it all the junk you don't want in your cooling system buying purified water or distilled water does not have these things in it. Look under wholesale radiators? In your web search box I looked at one site discount radiators that listed a radiator for your truck for 142 bucks with free ground shipping.
I don't know who the company is and have never used them I have used companies like this in the past and found through trial and error paying with a master card or visa works better if you have a problem or get the wrong radiator (this happened to me) they refuse to take it back on the phone. I don't give a crap they messed up I went to UPS and I shipped it back on my own dime then disputed the charges with visa and showed proof I returned the merchandise already and got my money back. So there are ways to cover your butt.
Check with your local mechanic and see if he can help who knows? Keep talking to people until you find what you want.
I'm not a real fan of any of the stop leak compounds that are composed of a bottle of "goo" that you pour in your radiator. In any case, no matter what sort of sealant you decide to try just know that some of them will work, but only on smaller leaks. Personally, I've had good success using a product that's readily available in most auto parts stores.
It consists of a tube of ground aluminum and works pretty good. This is the only product I would recommend even trying. It's not all that hard to replace a radiator, it just takes a little time and patience.
If this doesn't work just take your car to an independent radiator shop and let them take a look at it and give you an estimate.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
