Personality. Every cat I've owned has had a very distinct personality, more so than I see amongst dogs. Some cats are clingy, some are standoffish.
Some like to play to excess, some like to sleep to excess. Cats tend to be more self sufficient than dogs, which is good for people with a busy lifestyle (Like me, unfortunately) which is a major plus in my book. Even almost terminally stupid cats are amusing.
Happiness is a lapful of purr. I can totally forget about the yuckiness of hairballs and litter boxes when my kitty is curled up in my lap, purring and wanting to be petted. I like that (most) cats find a good petting session relaxing, like I would find a good massage.
It's enjoyable to watch something enjoying themselves so thoroughly. My cat gets so into it, she sometimes falls off my lap because she's so relaxed. Then after a little while, you end up with this little warm lump of fur asleep in your lap.
(Dogs, on the other hand, I've noticed get excited that you are petting them, except for really old or really really laid-back dogs. Their tail gets wagging, and then their whole hind end; if you stop petting for one second, they jump up and start begging for more attention. ) My kitty is an indoor kitty mostly, except that she begs to be let out onto the back upper deck whenever there is a squirrel out there raiding the bird feeders.
I let her out, but once she is on the same side of the glass as the squirrels, she has no idea what to do about them. The squirrels in my neighborhood have learned to ignore her and keep right on eating. After a while she gets worried about being around such strange animals and begs to be let back inside.
Of course, a few hours later, she spots the squirrels again and begs to be let out to stalk them. And the cycle repeats.
I've never considered myself a "cat person".... ..but I do love MY cat. I'm not so much into other people's cats; they never seem that friendly. But my big boy is very friendly and is a real sweetheart!
He didn't used to be, believe me! We got him after our last Siamese died (old age; she was about 21). A friend worked at a vet clinic and someone brought him in to them as they were playing "musical homes" with him, living in apartments where no pets were allowed.
She called, knowing that I live Siamese. We brought him home, and he kind of had an attitude. Even bit us a few times.
Not nasty or agressive, but just kind of "testy" about things. That all changed when he was diagnosed with diabetes about a year and a half ago. He has become a real sweetheart since then!
Now, I'm not sure if getting his sugar regulated made him feel better so he likes us better (the vet says no! ), or if all the extra attention he gets due to being given special food and two shots a day has caused him to realize that it's GOOD to be king of the house, or what! We area always checking on him, especially after having him go into diabetic shock once, and worry over him.
And he responds well to the attention! He is in whatever room I'm in, even wants to be in the bathroom when I am in the shower. He justs sits on the sink, waiting for me.
Or, wants me to turn the water on in the sink for him for a kitty drinking fountain. Or, wants the window open--no wait, he wants THAT window open. Or THAT one!
He can be pretty demanding until he gets all the good windows open for him to sit in! Hairballs. Uh, huh....laxatives for them, and for his constipation, too!
Cleaning the litterbox is like detective work--did he go? Was it hard and dried up? Does he need his medicine?
Oh, so much fun! He never goes out. He used to try to escape but hasn't in years.
He is best friends with Pretzel, the dog.... Taz, or "Bud" as we call him a lot. Formerly he was known as Sinatra, for those blue eyes. *Poppet*'s Recommendations Taz Wanted Amazon List Price: $29.99 Used from: $7.79 Average Customer Rating: 4.0 out of 5 (based on 8 reviews) Taz Attitude Steering Wheel Cover Average Customer Rating: 4.0 out of 5 (based on 3 reviews) .
My cats are my babies! I love my cats, like I would my own children. I only have 1 human daughter, but 3 furry babies.
All of them are spoiled, but the furry ones are the worst. They are, however, more loving because of it. My cats brighten my days like nothing else.
They greet me when I come home from work and make me feel missed and appreciated, entertain me in the evening, keep me warm and comforted at night, and drag butt out of bed at 5am with me every morning. They love to be hugged, cuddled, and played with and are always more than happy to love me back just as much. My kitties are strictly indoors.
Here they are: This is Vernon. He’s the oldest at 15. This is Vernon and Chloe.
We lost Chloe to kidney failure Nov. 2006. This is Percy (black) with her brother Butch, they’re about 8 months here. Percy and Butch in their Yin-Yang pose!
This is Butch-his computer lesson with sister after the evening bath. Haha! This is Butch, with Percy partially covered.
They’re 18 months old. 1 To expand on my statement, as an asthsmatic, sometimes I don't have much energy to play with my cats. Fortunately both of them go NUTS for my laserpointer. (Green, for the record.
) It is easy enough to do even during an asthma attack, so I don't feel guilty for my inability to play more vigorously.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
