Westjet is almost always the cheapest. There really aren't that many airlines to choose from, flying where you want to fly. In fact, as far as I can see from the list of airlines which depart from Halifax and fly within Canada, you can choose between Westjet, Air Canada, and Porter.
Porter is only going to take you as far as Toronto, where you will have to change airports and take another airline to Calgary. That is not going to be as cheap as a non-stop or booking on one airline, and it will add some hours to your trip. All the other airlines that fly from Halifax are American ones, so you'd have to go through the US, then fly into Canada again.
That's probably going to cost twice as much as a Westjet non-stop. Buy a Westjet ticket, is my advice.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
