Would you fly with Air India or does your perception tell you it is a third world airline?

Even I agree with FranYo here. We do have pre-conceived notion about certain things (airlines is one of them) and follow the stereotypes but it's high time that we change our perspectives and look at things freshly and differently, we need to be fair and check the facts before accusing anything of its incompetence, we need to evaluate products or anything like airlines on the basis of fair judgement, not on the history of that country as history is evolving and at quite a pace.

I'm American, but I've lived all over the world and have seen what you mention about perceptions.

Some people seem to prefer going an alternate route and actually enjoy what you call a "third world" experience (btw, pc would be to call it "developing world").

I don't feel that anyone would appreciate having Air India call themselves a name which hides their roots. So, Air India is what it's all about for me. People who are aware and conscious will not choose an airline based on name alone.

Just compare the crash rates or check out the forums for quality service for various airlines and you'll never fly with AA again! That's for sure.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
