Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay . . . what can we expect from these teams at the World Cup?

Personally I do not know much about these 3 teams. But from the placement of the groups it seems to me that out of the 3 teams Paraguay has the best chance of making the knock off rounds. They are in the same group as Italy, Slovakia, and New Zealand.

Obviously Italy is better, but New Zealand terrible and Paraguay should have no problem taking them down. Also Paraguay should be a little bit better than Slovakia. Therefore I believe that Paraguay has the best chances of the 3 to make it to the knock off rounds.

Chile is stuck with the dreaded Spain and Switzerland, but they are better than Honduras. So I think they will get 3rd place in their group. Uruguay is placed with France and Mexico.

Both teams are better than Uruguay, but not by much. So I think that if Uruguay can play well they may advance from group A. I don't think that any of these teams will make the Quarterfinals.

A key player to watch for Chile is their striker Humberto Suazo who plays for the Mexican powerhouse Monterrey. He has netted 44 goals in the 85 games that he played. As one can see, he is a very good goalscorer.

Another key player for them is their midfielder Matías Fernández who plays for Sporting CP in Portugal. He is a very good organizer and has been compared to Zinedine Zidane. A key player for Paraguay is Paulo da Silva who plays for Sunderland.

He is a defender and has fantastic aerial abilities. He has played 67 international matches and is very experienced. The best player for Uruguay is the famous Diego Forlán of Athletico Madrid.

He will be the leader of the Uruguay squad. Some other players to watch for on the Uruguay squad are: Martín Cáceres from Juventus Diego Pérez from Monaco Sebastián Abreu from the Brazilian club Botafogo Thanks.

Any team from South and Central America are tough teams and are considered a threat or at least a darkhorse in the tournament. In plains words they are capable of pulling some upsets win over their higher seeded counterparts on their respective group. Uruguay was a Previous World Cup champions in 1930 and 1950 and they always tough as nails every time they compete in tournaments.

Paraguay is noted to have a great perennial goalkeeper and they are noted for their stifling commands respect from the other team. A small nation yet it is a team that is always is as defense and they are strong competitors in the CONMEBOL. Chile on the other hand might pull some surprises in the World Cup.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
