Yes, you can "convert" by taking the required additional training, written test and flight test necessary to add the ATPL(A) to your license. If all you have is helicopter flight time , you'll need a minimum of 50 hours logged in fixed-wing aircraft. However, even if you go to that expense to add the ATPL(A) to your license, the airlines typically count only 1/3 of helicopter flight time toward their minimum hiring requirements, so you would need a significant amount of extra fixed-wing experience to qualify.
Each airline is different in this regard, so you would have to contact them directly to learn their policy on this matter.
Rotary wing flight time does not convert directly to fixed wing flight time. Even if you DO meet the flight time requirements for an ATP license, NOBODY is going to hire you to fly a passenger airliner if all you have is 1500 hours in a helicopter. You need flight experience in the type of aircraft that you are applying for.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
