Airline pilots get payed horribly. There was a story I saw on TV about an airline pilot that had to work part time a mcdonalds. And another one that had to sell her body.
First, you need to work on you spelling and grammar. You need to do very well in high school, and you need a college degree. It doesn't matter what your degree is in.
I would no recommend getting an aviation degree, as it is not versatile if you are unable to find a job as a pilot. You could major in anything. Try to begin flight training while in college and working part time.
Try getting all your certificates and ratings as soon as possible. The sooner you can become a flight instructor, the more time you can build. You only have to be 18 to become a CFI.
The airline industry is very unstable, and uncertain. Do not put all your eggs in one basket. The good news is, a lot of pilots will be retiring over these next few years because they will be hitting the retirement age of 65.
Get hired buy a regional, build lots of jet time, try getting to the major airlines, and also try finding a corporate pilot job once you build jet time. I'm 19 and I got my private pilots license when I was 17. Since I was 13 I washed airplanes at the flight school for flying lessons.
Good luck, and if you have any questions, feel free to message me! :).
There are many ways to get started. If you have your parents ok, I would go to a local airport and take an introductory flight. Find a flight school close by and many will offer a reduced rate for your introductory flight.
After that, if it is something you really like, go for it. You can study at that school or go to college or go in the military. Local schools would be the cheapest route.
However, if you go to college, you will get a degree (which I recommend to be something other than aviation) and also be able to finance your training. If you go in the military it is a longer commitment but they will pay for your training and also pay you at the same time. Plus you will be serving your country and learning valuable skills.
The best thing to do is get on some website forums and introduce yourself to some pilots. Or go out to the airport and find some pilots to ask questions. Most of us are very accommodating to people who want to fly.
We love to share our passion. Also, whoever said you can't wear glasses does not know what they are talking about. I have been flying for over 20 years professionally and I have worn glasses since I was 10 years old.
You don't yet even know what is required to become a commercial airline pilot. With the exception of the Army Warrant Officer Program, you must hold a 4 year college degree to become a military pilot. To get hired by a major airline in the USA, a 4 year degree is essential. Without one your chances of being hired are very low.
In other parts of the world, a college degree is not a strict requirement. Based upon your demonstrated grammar and syntax, if you are a citizen of the USA, you probably do not have adequate academic qualifications to be accepted by a college or university. If you are not a native English-speaker, my apology.
I would focus on graduating high school with sufficient grades to be accepted by an accredited college or university.
Son, you can do whatever you set your mind to. But I cannot stress enough to you....you MUST become an academic superstar. That means if you're in public school, you must ace your classes and ask for more challenging work.
You had better make school your number 1 priority right now, and forget about anything else.
If you wear glasses, you will never become a pilot of any kind.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
