Christians, if atheists choose to be atheists despite the existence of a god...?

So surely there had to have been a million other ways for god to save his chosen ones besides allowing Christ to be murdered" Not at all. God cannot do what is logically impossible. That's not a weakness of God, that's just the nature of reality.

Sin separates us from God. God is perfectly just, and justice requires punishment for wrongdoing. Since we are all sinners and have all done wrong, then we must atone for our wrongdoing.

Justice demands that. For God to just dismiss our sin would requite that God be unjust. God is also perfectly graceful, however.

He is merciful and allows us to have someone stand in our place to pay the price for our wrongdoing on our behalf. Each of us has our own punishment to bear however, and so there's no one that is fit to take our place, the righteous on behalf of the unrighteous. I can't stand in your place, because I've got my own sentence to serve, and even if I didn't, I can't imagine wanting to take your punishment for your wrongs.

If God wouldn't allow someone else to step into your place, then he could not be perfectly graceful; he'd be a grudge-holder and sin tallier, a nitpicker and critic. But fortunately, God is also perfectly loving. He is fit to take the punishment for our sins, making us clean and whole and blameless.

He is loving enough to willingly step in to do that for us, without obligation and without our being able to earn his favor. If he wasn't perfectly loving, then he'd be a cruel God, making us for the purpose of damnation, not caring what happens to us. But he is just, graceful, and loving, and each of those to perfection.

He does 99% of the work. He gives you the gift. All you have to do is accept it.

And yet that tiny part is too much for most people to do.

Do not sweat the small stuff. God does not exist. It is only an idea put in the mind of some people by some con artists to get money from the gullible.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
