Christians: Why don't we follow the law and punishment in the book of Leviticus?

The law of Moses was a strict set of moral laws and physical consequences. The purpose was to help the barbaric and uncivilized house of Israel to get to a point where they could accept truth without the physical penalties. Christ replaced the law of Moses with a higher law that expected more but had less physical penalties.

For example, we are not only supposed to abstain from adultery but now we are not even to think about it. Christians should generally follow the law of the land but the eternal consequences for homosexual practices are still in place. I am not sure what Christ would do if he were in charge today.

Freedom of choice is a core value but society has a right and obligation to make laws that are best for society. You can laugh today but be aware that all rebellion against what is right and true must be answered now or in eternity. The eternal law of justice requires that both good and bad be answered.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
