To get rid of the smell left from food cooked in a non-stick pan, wash it with baking soda. Rinse well and dry. Then re-prime the pan with a thin layer of cooking oil.
This seals the coating and helps prevent wear.
Any commercial non stick cookware is coated with a small layer of teflon. When you cook meats in them the fats render in the pan and then bond to the teflon. It is extremely difficult to get rid of that smell after that.
Scrubbing it with baking soda wears the teflon down and causes the pan to degrade even faster. For a cast iron pan, boiling water in it loosens the stuck on food, then you can effectively scrub it clean until it shines again, then you recoat it in vegetable oil and rebake it.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
