Conservatives claim to want Government our of our personal lives, so why are they OK with the Gov't telling us who we can and cannot marry?

Big government is fine when it's oppressing minorities and pushing a theocratic agenda. It's fine when it's taking tax payer money from blue states and redistributing it to poverty stricken red states to build their highways and schools. It's fine when throwing away trillions on useless wars because the Mexicans/Muslims/Communists are coming for your children.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
