Consumer Reports says that the Dyson vacuum cleaner doesn't clean carpets well. Can someone who owns one verify... I am interested in the Dyson vacuum cleaner but I've read consumer reports and they say that the dyson doesn't clean carpets as well as other vacuum cleaners. Can someone verify whether this is true or not?

I have carpeting throughout my house and want to make sure the Dyson does a good job on them. Thanks! Asked by superdave 63 months ago Similar questions: Consumer Reports Dyson vacuum cleaner clean carpets owns verify Home > Home Appliances.

It is the best one I have ever had I burned out a few hoovers, a Kenmore, and 2 Fantoms. I have had my Dyson for 3 years and still going strong. I never had a vacuum for more than 1 year before.

The Dyson works very well on carpet. I check Consumer Report when I first bought mine, they were saying the same thing you noticed at that time. I guess they are wrong.

Target keeps running a $100 gift card special on the $399 Dyson . . Not a bad deal .

My Dyson DC07 is the best vacuum for cleaning carpets I have ever had. I have owned probably a half-dozen large vacuums over the past 30-odd years, and the Dyson is much the best at cleaning carpets. Specifically, it considerably outperforms the Panasonic upright vacuum it replaced, which was pretty good, and which was top-rated by Consumer Reports when I bought it in early 1995.

I had also owned several Hoovers, and the Panasonic was better than they were. I don't find the hose and tools arrangement on the Dyson particularly convenient, but for cleaning carpets I have not seen its equal. To be sure, I haven't tried the latest top models by other makers, particularly such as Miele which are in Dyson's admittedly-high price range, but I find it unlikely I'd think them better than the Dyson.

I am CRAZY about my Dyson vacuum. I read the Consumer Reports review, too, and bought a Dyson anyway. I can use my Hoover Wind Tunnel (which CR rates highly) over and over on my carpet and my Dyson will still get out more dirt and dog hair. It's also the easiest vacuum you've ever had to empty.

I hated putting new bags in my Hoover. The Hoover was in perfect condition when I bought the Dyson, which I did just because I didn't like the Hoover..

First of all, don't listen to ConsumerSearch.com - the site is basically worthless and they don't test anything themselves. I also disagree with consumer reports for two reasons:1) If you read consumer reviews on amazon, walmart, and even consumer reports you will see that the user reviews don't match up with the report. For example, their 'best' vacuum is the Hoover Tempo Widepath - yes it's a decent vacuum, but look at how many people have issues with it.It's obviously not the best vacuum you can buy.2) I have tested the Dyson DC25 vs several other great vacuum cleaners and it has passed with flying colors.

Bottom line - Dyson makes great vacuums, and if you can afford one I would buy one. Com.

Wow.. Looks like you have some options. You can trust the many reviews from people who actually own one... All of which are generally ranting and raving about how great their Dysons are... Or you can trust the 2 people who don't even own one and claim that "a guy I know" has one and it's terrible. It's amazing how many people, having no experience with something have formed such strong opinions.

Just morons, if you ask me. I will add at this time that I am the fortunate owner of the Dyson Animal DC25.... And it is, hands down, the best vac I've ever owned. It is efficient, easy to use and wonderfully powerful.

I have an Alaskan Malamute... And she sheds unlike any other dog. The Dyson handles this with ease! As another poster said... If you can afford one get it!

We have 2 kids, 4 dogs, and 1 cat. You will not be disappointed with the Dyson. Check the reviews on doghairvacuums.com and see for yourself.

We bought a Dyson animal 07 several years ago and it gets used nonstop. When asked about it, my wife, who is a clean freak, will say it is one of her favorite things. Com.

I have heard only bad about it. Dyson is made by the same guy who made Fantom vacuum cleaners and those went belly up. I know of a repair shop that does not sell any vacuums, but has been in business for over 30 years and they said Dyson is one of the worst ones out there.

I have a friend who got one, and all that hype they tell on TV about it is a bunch of bull.

No. It would appear that, on average, the Dyson cleaner does not do as well as it is touted. While I don't personally own one, an adventurous friend of mine does and I can tell you she was not happy with her Dyson vacuum cleaner.

Apparently, it did not do nearly as well as the salesman would have you believe. If you are in the market for a cleaner, Consumer Search suggests that Eureka Boss Smart Vac 4870GZ is the best there is. They give the following summary of the Dyson:Dyson’s cyclonic suction technology is said to be setting new standards for vacuum performance. In testing, however, Dyson's ratings and reviews by experts aren’t much above average.

British consumer magazine cites Dyson for poor long-term reliability, but U.S. owners don't generally express the same frustration. The DC07 vacuum cleaner comes in four versions, but the Animal gets the preponderance of raves, mainly from formerly frustrated pet owners claiming that the Animal's pet-hair tool works wonders. Need vacuum cleaner info. " "Where can I find information on fixing my Dyson vacuum cleaner?" "Anyone purchase a Dyson vacuum cleaner. Is it really as good as people say?

Anyone purchase a Dyson vacuum cleaner. Is it really as good as people say?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
