You're perfectly welcome to feel confused. It seems to me to be the appropriate response.
You can only feel the way that you feel. I will say this though....if you love your Daddy and you want him to be happy, try to feel happy for him, if not for yourself. If the person is not a nice person, which sometimes takes some time to find out, your Daddy will see that eventually. It is funny how when we were growing up, we felt that we knew it all and we did not want our parents to poke into our love life...now it is your turn.
Your Daddy is an adult and has raised you and your siblings if you have any...only he knows what he needs right now and because it has not been a long time ..he may be having a hard time being alone...just be his daughter ...love him ..be there for him and try to get to know this person ...remember ...you catch more flys with honey than you do with vinegar :) Good luck to you and to your Daddy. And of course you feel confused you want your Mom to be respected and rememberd but also want your dad to be happy, and also be careful about the young ladies age and make sure she isn't a gold digger.
They say the happier a person was in their marriage the more likely they are to reconnect soon after losing a partner. I hope you have a good support network to deal with your loss but try to separate that from whatever your dad does. Everyone deals with grief in their own way.
Don't lose your dad too.
Well, your dad probably misses your mom terribly and is trying to fill that void. There's no set "grieving" time in this culture, it seems to be whenever the person is ready. So, you are free to feel however you want to feel and you have the right to sit down and talk about your dad's intentions with this young lady.
Just ask him to sit down and talk and tell him how you feel.
He wants to feel young again. End of life crisis...like Midlife crisis. It may not work.
Just let it works it way through....
Maybe it will not last. Just be kind/forgiving.
"My Dad Divorced my Big Brother and Sister's mom. Then he remarried. "There is a movie I remember as a kid that had an alien family, a mom, dad and baby.
Also had windmills. "What is happening in the Gore family? "Am being judgemental towards my dad?
My dad has custody of me since age 5, but I am staying with my mom. Can anyone do anything about it? "My mom said that I don't become lonely easily because I'm young, whereas she does w/ Dad because she's close to 60.
"I think my dad may be cheating on my mom. Is there anything I should do?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
