It sounds like Taste of the Wild is pretty expensive and you mention that he isn't doing well with kibble. Have you talked to the vet about his reaction to kibble? Does he do okay on Taste of the Wild?
If so, you may be able to pinpoint what could be causing the sensitivity and find a cheaper kibble that does not contain what he is sensitive to. However, this could be a difficult process. Feeding him yourself has the potential to be cheaper and as long as you have the time to do it and to research a proper diet, that's great.
You will need to work with the veterinarian on his specific nutrient needs but unfortunately a veterinary education alone does not spend much time on diet - this is a complicated topic. As you mentioned, he might need a dietary supplement. I know there are supplements designed for a homemade diet, however I do not know if they are overly expensive or hard to obtain.
Hopefully you can design a homemade diet for him that helps his issues and figure out what he could be sensitive to and what needs to be avoided.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
