Debating lasik eye surgery, anyone had it, know someone who had it, have any thoughts on it?

Haven't had it, definitely need it! My sister-in-law had it, she was primarily nearsighted. She loves not needing contacts.No problems in the past 3 years.

I have a friend who wanted it done (barely sees his hand in front of his face) but a friend of his had it done and now IS legally blind due to complications. I don't know what they do if your eyes have multiple issues (I am nearsighted with astigmatism in left eye and have now developed middle age farsightedness!) I would definitely check out your doctor carefully and look or complaints. Ask for references, but be aware that those are the people the docor wants you to talk to.

I do know that it is common to need it redone after a few years (your eyes continue to age from that point on), and I'mnot sure how that works or how effective it is (scar tissue, etc.) Hope this helps and good luck!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
