I laughed, I cried, I saw a LEGO Wookie Okay perhaps I exagerrate..there was a LEGO R2D2. I ventured out this year to see a good buddy of mine who works for Image Comics. Considering San Diego is only a 2 hour drive it was well worth it.
First off I was excited to see a couple of creators of a book I love, Phonogram. I got a signed copy and got to hang out with them a little bit...niiiice. Second I love to people watch.
I was there on the preview night, which is no longer really preview night since anyone can get in who has a 4 day pass. This resulted in a badly bruised foot, some clod couldn't quite handle the mission of walking while keeping hands and feet to herself. The half naked Grindhouse chick drew a huge crowd, you'd think these people have never seen a half naked woman.Wait...oh nevermind.
I guess the gunfoot is a big draw these days. I traversed the halls pretty quickly and was amused by the spectacle of the event, seeing that Hollywood has found it's new darling. Huge sets, fake Johnny Depp, dozens of wannabe artists with their portfolios.
I'm not sure my experience would have been any different than anyone else's but I can say I was entertained and amused...but only enough to go back to visit my friends. My local comic store is up to date on everything I saw and honestly I didn't really see any indie stuff that captured my attention. You know it's amazing how difficult it is to make a really good URL1 makes you marvel at how much goes into the well made ones.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
