Schelli replied to post #1: 2 Hmmmm, it's not legal to fly the US flag at half staff for just that. The state flag, certainly.

3 interesting. I haven't noticed where ours are. They have been going up and down so much that we have been getting them from Duncan.

4 Our American and state flags are flying at half staff now, also, to honor a soldier who was killed in Afghanistan. freep.com/article/20100429/NEWS06/100429... It's been this way for years, flying the flag at half-mast, so I would assume it's very "legal".

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
