There's a good article on the subject at the source link. I think necessity is what led to the development of modern camouflage, and it continues to develop to this day. I tend to think that the military mind is not all that interested in art, though they're willing to take inspiration from wherever they come across it.
I say that as a veteran myself. So though it's certainly possible that cubism played some role, it's more likely that camouflage developed and evolved rather naturally and independently from art. It was a sort of convergent evolution rather than a direct influence.
But that would really just be my guess. When certain ideas start spreading, they can have a subconscious effect on everyone and an original thought may have actually been seeded by something else. So I won't deny the possibility, but I continue to suspect the two were independent.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
