True story! She is single and is a very kind caring fun loving person. She was riding Ferry on her way back home from work and came across this scruffy thin dog.
She felt bad so she scooped him up and brought him home. She bathed the poor thing and fed him lasagna. The dog ate so much that he barely could keep his eyes open.
She decided to let the poor creature sleep with her because she was worried about him, had a raspy sound to his breathing. (continued) Asked by ArabianKnightress 14 months ago Similar questions: friend's friend True story Arts > Writing.

The following day happened to be a Saturday so she brought him to a vet that a friend recommended. He was so well behaved that she decided she was going to keep him, she named him Henry. When the vet walked in and took a good look at the dog, he kept his distance and asked where she found him.
She proceeded to tell him about the ferry. The vet asked her to slowly step away from the dog. He called in an assistant with a small cage.
They coaxed the dog into the cage with food. She didn't understand why he did this, she told him how well behaved he was and that the dog slept all night in her bed with her. The vet then told her, this isn't a dog and you are very lucky he didn't eat you while you were sleeping, good for you that you over fed him..Turns out it wasn't a dog but an African Rat!

I was not expecting that! An African rat! That thing must have been pretty good size!
OMG! You would have heard me screaming way out there where you live! Gheez!((LOL)) .
How in the world did that thing get here in America.
They think he accidently got into a wooden box that someone in Africa was shipping to our area. The poor thing must of been petrified and very hungry and thirsty! ArabianKnightress 14 months ago .
I first heard that story in the 80s. Like all such urban legends, it happened to a friend of a friend. Here are some other versions:snopes.com/critters/lurkers/mexicanpet.a... asp.
Btw, in the version I heard, the people who found it had dinner plans that evening and decided to lock their cat in the bathroom because it reacted violently to the supposed dog. When they got home, the rat had chewed through the bathroom door and nothing was left but the cat's head. LOL.
Gotta love these urban legends.
Cross my heart Poppet its a true story! LOL ArabianKnightress 14 months ago .
No Poppet, the vet called Animal Control and they took it away LOL :) ArabianKnightress 14 months ago .
Also, this "scenario" has apparently been happening to a lot of people's "friend of a friend. " I first read this story in some book in the early 1990's (a compilation of short horror stories, including the one of the girl who thought she had a zit but when she popped it a million spiders came out). http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/dogs/a/mexican_pet.htmhttp://www.snopes.com/critters/lurkers/mexicanpet.asphttp://www.all-lies.com/legends/animals/mexicanpet.shtmlScroll down to where the paragraph begins with "Our New Puppy is a Killer Rat!" ==>books.google.com/books?id=zpdvLYZX2kIC&pg=PA438&lpg=PA438&dq=urban+legend+african+rat&source=bl&ots=GB0ezyBZD8&sig=dOLLgrc6cIjWFxPRUoxnHhYepmg&hl=en&ei=09iQTPakIcaOswbk6vy0AQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CBYQ6AEwAQ#v=onepage&q&f=false htm.
I knew where this was going because I first heard it on Chuck Swindoll's program, with the advantage that he made the lesson of it: that it looks like a dog and eats like a dog and sleeps with you like a dog never means it's a dog. Or, that it looks like the gospel and makes you happy like the gospel and even stays with you all night like the gospel never means it's the gospel. Who makes bad counterfeits?
" "Tell me a short story about yourself, true or not true and make me believe it. " "If you had the opportunity to tell your favorite story to a new friend, what would it be about?" "when they say that a movie is based on a true story is it the same as when it says true story? " "Do you have a friend who drags out a story for so long you want to scream?
I have a wonderful friend, who is......." "It's been a while since we tried writing a story as a group. Let's start another one.
Is I know this much is true based on a true story.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
