It's pretty common for people to pick up the speech of people around them, even when you're past the highly absorbant stage of childhood. I didn't used to say "y'all" nearly as much before moving to Louisiana, but so many people use it, and it's quicker than "you guys," so I've adapted. Since Pat spends so much time with Paula Deen, and also perhaps her family and other people that use that word, it's probably understandable that he picked it up.
Word borrowing is very common among people of different dialects and languages - with a mix of people, you also get a mix of language. It's hard to remain exactly the same when you interact with different people and cultures. In fact, a majority of English is made of borrowed words - hardly any of its Germanic origins remain.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
