He definately did have an altercation with his daughter, but it was just verbal nothing physical. From what I have heard and read, they got into a very loud argument/ yelling match at a hotel, which neighbors called the police. Both of them were detained but no one was charged with anything and technically no one was arrested (only detained).
I think his story is amazing. He escaped his battles with drugs and alcahol to become famous overnight. I understand why his children are mad because they did not reall have a father growing up.
But I think it is clear that he put the drugs and petty crimes behind him, so his children should be happy that he overcame those battles and now is in their lives.
I heard some of his interview from the Dr. Phil show, and speaking as someone who has had a drug addict - this Ted Williams guy, whether he is using or not STILL has major drug problems. The main one being, he THINKS like a drug addict. Their brains get re-wired from their drug use, and they learn how to be incredibly manipulative. It sounded to me like he had Dr. Phil fooled.
The sad thing is, they manipulate to their detriment. The more people see this poor guy as a poor guy and cut him slack and give him money the more likely it is that he'll start using again. On average it takes two full years of sobriety for the brain to start firing on normal again.
At his age, with his length of use- it would probably take longer.
I’m praying this was a misunderstanding! This dude has a checkered past. I mean, how come NO ONE in his past has come out and spoken on his behalf – former co-workers, station managers, DJ’s, friends, etc. I don't even think he was a successful DJ at all like he makes himself out to be.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
