Did the Tea Party divide the GOP well?

Jrrose' - You've got it ALL right to a 'T' and I personally hope it keeps up. You mention the debt ceiling debate which NO question I have answered on that subject has EVER been brought up by an obvious Tea Party supporter, a mainline republican(admitted, of course), or any 'conservative' who didn't announce any party allegiance, but one would assume that at least 95% of conservatives are republicans. This CAN result in a resounding victory for the Democrats in 2012.

I proffer to mention Wisconsin, a republican stronghold, yet 2 of them lost in a recall on Aug 9th. Yes, they barely kept the senate there, but hopefully that is a sign of change amongst the republicans, BECAUSE I believe that NO Democrat could have won or come close to winning there, if it hadn't been for the utter nonsense of the Tea Party with the debt ceiling debate and the horrible bill that came out of it. Thanks for the question, as always.

Cheers.

There is nothing weaker than a RINO that thinks that he can be a better progressive than the left wing of the liberal/progressive. The Tea Party has given many Republicans the back bone to stand up against progressives or they go the way of the passenger pigeon.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
