We definitely did the Easter bunny thing and I used to love getting those big sugar eggs like Tharnpfeffa has posted! I also remember getting all dressed up in an Easter dress for going somewhere--maybe my grandma's, or maybe church? Hat and gloves, even, sometimes!

.

When my sisters and I were children, we believed in the Easter Bunny--and even Santa Clause! My parents never discouraged it, but explained to us the true meaning behind Christmas and Easter directly from the Bible. It's fun to let the kids have their fun--let them believe that there's a rabbit who will leave them nice chocolate goodies and other such things in a basket for them.

It was fun to have Easter egg hunts and have things (even something as small as a penny) hidden inside the plastic ones. Let them believe in the fat, jolly old guy who fills their stockings with small things leaves them presents under the tree, who LOVES a nice glass of milk and some cookies as a small snack before heading on his way (and don't forget to leave some carrots for the reindeer! ).

Just don't let them forget the true meaning of the holidays. Don't let them forget that it's not just about the getting, but the giving, too! I hope to someday teach any children I am blessed with to give as much as they receive.

Mine wasn't a religious family, we believed in the Easter Bunny, and one year he left us baby bunnies .

Wait a second, if HE's not real, then that means......yep. Businesses can stay open 365 days and abuse their employees! Yay, retail!

Yes...Easter bunny. I think it would take alot of fun out of life to not have holidays as long as they know the reason for the holiday.

I still beleive in the Easter Bunny especially those blonde, long legged ones! Jexebellion 4 days ago.

I was raised in a Christian home and even attended Catholic schools. On Easter we celebrated Jesus rising from the dead and we also had Easter eggs, baskets, candy and the whole bit. We did not "worship" the rabbit.

We knew the difference. We also knew the real Christmas story and Santa was not the one we worshiped either.

Niether. My parents never went to much effort to perpetuate the more popular holiday myths. Therefore we knew that the easter bunny was only a symbolic figure that people used as a temporal representation in worship of the demigods Whitman and Russell Stover.

We've always had the "pagan" symbols for a universal symbol of new life after a period of death. The Easter Bunny and all the eggs, trimmings, fit well into Easter, Pascal, or the Passover Seder. As a Christian, all of these universal death-and-renewal symbols point to the resurrection and new life in Christ.

Those of you who have small children, what does the Easter Bunny.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
